About

Welcome to Iluka Support

Iluka is an Aboriginal word meaning “by the sea” — and support is what everyone deserves.

Iluka Support was founded by Cameron, a dedicated NDIS Support Worker whose journey has been shaped by resilience, compassion, and lived experience.

Cameron knows firsthand how challenging life can be. After losing his identical twin brother to Multiple Sclerosis at a young age and overcoming his own serious health battles, he learned the true value of perseverance, empathy, and laughter. These experiences inspired him to build a service where every person is treated with dignity, respect, and genuine care.

With over a decade of experience in Disability Employment, Mental Health, Aboriginal Services, and Community Work, Cameron brings both professional expertise and a deeply personal understanding to his role. He has supported individuals and families facing barriers such as disability, chronic illness, mental health conditions, addiction, housing instability, and domestic violence.

At Iluka Support, care goes far beyond the hours spent together. Behind the scenes, Cameron works closely with families, ensuring that when he supports one member, the whole family is part of the journey. Plans are tailored, communication is open, and outcomes are always focused on improving quality of life.

While many see only the time spent face-to-face, there is significant unseen work involved — from coordinating with other providers and navigating NDIS systems, to advocating for client needs and adjusting supports as life changes.

Most importantly, Iluka Support is built on love, not profit. In 2024, half of our work was with NDIS participants, while the rest was given voluntarily to support our local Koori community, people experiencing homelessness, and survivors of domestic violence. For us, the greatest reward is not financial, but the positive change we see in the lives of the Iluka Support family.
